
Biography
Blake Lafita is a Los Angeles based actor, artist, and musician born in Palm Harbor, FL. He is best known for playing Billy in the Cannes Emerging Filmmaker Festival-winning short, "All the Young Dudes". He appears as Henry in "Bridge to the Other Side", Nick in "A Day in the Life", and Jack in the short film, “PETITION”. In high school at Palm Harbor University High he took to theatre, and after playing baseball for 10 years chose to commit to acting. His first roles were Gomez in "The Addams Family", and George in "Sunday in the Park With George" for which he went to the 2016 Jimmy Awards in New York. He then earned his BFA in Acting at Florida State University in the class of 2020. He is also a multi-instrumentalist with music released under his name, and played as the drummer in the New York band, Karma Collective. Musically, Lafita has played the guitar and sang since he was 10 years old, and is self-taught in drums, piano, saxophone, and cello. He released four experimental instrumental albums between 2019-2021 (Currents, The Garden, Physical Mergence, and Jazz for Your Guru) varying in genres from meditative acoustic, ambient electronic, and avant-garde jazz. From 2022-2023 he composed and released an instrumental single titled “Z E N I T H”, an orchestral arrangement that culminates several musical styles to make a 12.5-minute epic musical journey. The track features the cello which Lafita learned to play for the song. Having an urgent sense of responsibility to acknowledge humanitarian crisis and conflict he released his first folk protest song, “Ain’t It the Way You Feel Every Day” on Flag Day, June 14, 2024. Blake Lafita’s latest work was released on March 1, 2025, and is his first-ever Singer/Songwriter LP album, “Little Songs”. Blake now resides in East Hollywood, LA in pre-production for an independent feature film titled “Fresco Motel”.
